Our environment provides a safe and healthy place for exploration. It is calm and soothing, yet stimulating to the senses. We will provide your infant with a balance of quiet and active play while lending encouragement and freedom of exploration. We use both indoor and outdoor settings for the development of large and small motor skills and the implementation of a variety of experiences and opportunities for your infant to learn and grow.
Our infant environment contains both soft and hard design elements-pillows and rockers, spaces to crawl into, through and over, nooks and crannies for moment of undistracted, solitary exploration and play. Quiet sleeping areas, and relaxed, unhurried routines and places for eating and diapering promote warm individual interactions between caregivers and children.
Curriculum for infants is EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO THEM THROUGHOUT THE DAY. Adults provide a safe place, appropriate play materials, encouragement through soothing interactive environments, and relaxed personalized routines that promote a sense of security.
Positive interactions with significant adults through warm, individual conversation, affectionate cuddling, relaxed and gentle touches and continuous eye contact are maintained to encourage strong social skills, emotional health, and language and cognitive development.
